I bought some very cheap drum shells from eBay. The 16” floor tom became a bass drum, with a few little tricks like the ATLAS mount to hold the ride cymbal, and cord inside to hold the muffling towel. Once I built a new kick drum to match my main kit, I donated this one to Boisdale Consolidated School. The 12” tom became a drum caddy to hold my beers/phone/drum keys etc. I mainly built this so I could practice veneering, wrapping and adding inlays.
